Welcome to The Nurse’s Purse! I’m Parker King, and I started this platform with one mission.
I’m the proud daughter of a nurse, born into a family full of medical professionals.
I took a different track, getting my Masters in Writing, Rhetoric, and Media from Clemson University and diving into researching and writing content online.
Over the last several years, I’ve written hundreds of personal finance and lifestyle articles, featured on sites like Fox Business, MarketWatch, and Architectural Digest, and deepened my knowledge of these subjects.
The more I wrote and researched, the more I realized the need for a site wholly dedicated to nurses, one with tailor-made personal finance advice, education and career resources, and product reviews.
I wanted to put my passion and skills to use to provide people like my mom with the tools and resources they need to thrive, from nurse discounts to mortgage programs for nurses to scrubs reviews.
That’s why I created the Nurse’s Purse, a site dedicated to nurses and their unique financial needs and opportunities.
